During this amazing trip, we are bringing guests to some of the highest rated restaurants in the region. Its proximity to Eastern Countries makes it one of the most eclectic tour reflected by its gastronomy, scenery and culture.

Itinerary

Transportation via luxury bus from Frankfurt to Alsace.

Arrival at the hotel in Obernai. Enjoy a welcome light lunch and aperitif, check-in and get settled.  A guided tour of the town to get your bearings, then an early dinner.

Breakfast at the hotel with a little train ride to visit the surroundings and small streets of this beautiful town of Obernai, which will be ours for the whole week. Late morning departure for Fouday.

Lunch at Michelin Rated restaurant “Chez Julien, known in Alsace for the premier Choucroute, sausage, and sauerkraut in the country.

After lunch, continue in the direction of the Alsace/Moselle Memorial in Schirmeck. Guided visit and details of American Forces that lead to the liberation of France.  Continuation to Rosheim for a visit and tasting at “Les Intenables Brewery”.  Return to hotel for dinner together and rest

Breakfast at the hotel then departure for a guided visit of the Fromagerie “La Graine au Lait” you will be able to witness the various and different steps for the creation of Munster (The number one cheese in the Alsace region).  Then direction to the Sick-Dreyer winery to discover and understand the wine making in this amazing region.  Accompanied with tasting some of their best growths.

Followed with a lunch at the 2 Michelin Star Chambard restaurant in Kaysersberg. Guided tour of Kaysersberg, the medieval city that single-handedly characterized the Alsace world image with its colombage façades (Timbered walls) and wrought iron shop signs. Free time in this magic city where you will be able to stroll and linger.

Return to the hotel for dinner on your own.

Village of Bergheim

Breakfast at the hotel then departure for the village of Bergheim, located in the heart of Alsace, via the wine route. Classified as the “most beautiful village of France”.

Continuing our journey to Riquewihr, this wine town enjoyed a strong prosperity because of its Riesling which still attracts a lot of tourist today.  It is one of the 5 most visited cities in France. This will be your opportunity to experience lunch on your own and a little city strolling

The Afternoon guided visit of the Automotive Museum created by Fritz Schlumpf, this museum was very recently renovated to one of the biggest in Europe. We will discover about 400 different historical models and styles of cars from Prestigious to racers with the most famous, the royal Bugatti.

Return to the hotel for dinner together.

Ribeauville

Breakfast at the hotel and a free morning to enjoy and relax.

Lunch at La Halle Aux Blés in Obernai.

Depart for the Castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg by the “Route des vins”(the wine route). A guided visit of this man-made fortress from the 12th century perched at about 800 meters high (1/2 mile). After many years of complex history, this castle was given as a present in 1899 by the city of Selestat to the Empereur Guillaume the 2nd.

Then departure for a visit of Ribeauvillé.  Loaded with history. Located at the foot of “le massif du Taennchel” in the center of the wine region in between Strasbourg and Mulhouse, Ribeauvillé is a big wine city with a medieval charm where life is a pleasure.

Return to the hotel for dinner on your own.

Breakfast at the hotel with a departure for a guided visit of the City of Colmar with the tanned leather quarter, the little Venice. Followed with a wonderful lunch of local specialties at “Le Caveau Saint Pierre” in the heart of the “Petite Venice”.

To follow we will embark on a small flat bottom barge to discover the authentic Charm of the “Little Venice, sailing slowly along the Timbered houses.

Return to the Hotel for dinner together and relaxation.

Breakfast at the hotel then depart for another incredible village! This is the village of Pope Leon IX.  Long coble stone streets, this village has been recognized as one of the most “flowery” in Europe.

Continuation to the “Park des Cigognes”, Storks Park, the bird symbol of Alsace.

Lunch at the 2 Michelin Star, Auberge de l’Ill in Illhaeusern, the pride of Alsace.

A little free afternoon and then return to the hotel for dinner on your own.

Breakfast at the hotel then a guided visit of the Spice Bread Museum of Gertwiller, The world capital of the “Pain D’épice” (spice bread) for the past two centuries. This collection offers a number of artifacts from years of Alsatian rural living (agriculture, cooking, religion, old jobs), as well as popular Alsatian Art, which all have to do with biscuit making, chocolate work….etc.

Lunch at the world renowned Crocodilein Strasbourg, 1 Michelin Star.

Then a guided visit to discover the city of Strasbourg, with “La Grande Ile” which is classified in the world patrimony of the humanity by the UNESCO. Guided visit of the cathedral of “the little France” and some free time.

Return to the hotel for last dinner together

Breakfast will be served, then departure to Frankfurt airport.

Additional Information

The all-inclusive price includes hotel, ground transportation, most meals with wine, all guided visits and excursions, taxes and fees.

Airfare is not included – we will advise you what time you will need to arrive in Frankfurt.

This price is based on the Euro exchange rate not climbing over 1.25 US dollars to the Euro.

 To reserve your space a $1000 per person non-refundable deposit is due, unless otherwise cancelled by the tour operator.  A non-refundable payment of 50% due by February 25th and balance due by May 15th.

Minimum 20 people minimum with a maximum of 30-32 persons.
